Laura + Cannon, a Paper Eliza Love Story #1

I feel like I hit the profession-lottery-jackpot. I love love. Like so much. And one of my favorite parts of my job is hearing couples’ how we met stories, important elements or icons that they feel encompasses their relationship because of a special place that it holds for them in their journey, the moment that they knew that their significant other was “the one.” I feel so honored that I get to meet and help incredible people during such a special time of their lives.

I eat this kind of stuff up (IE the New York Times wedding announcement column is my guilty pleasure read) and figured you guys probably did too, so I’m starting a series where I share the hearts and stories of some of my brides and the vision and execution of their custom wedding paper. I am by ZERO means a podcaster or even feel equipped to WANT to be one, but I do love stories and conversations with friends, so here we are.

Enjoy my conversation with the loveliest, Laura Deems, talking about her special venue illustration emblem that she wanted to include on her save the dates with fiancé and honey, Cannon. Laura and Cannon met at a wedding that Cannon volunteered to take his dad’s place at in hopes of meeting Laura, who came highly recommended by his uncle and aunt. Laura is an artist in Atlanta and will be moving to Birmingham oh so soon post wedding and I cannot wait to have her in town with me (and with Cannon, I guess). They are gems.
